Self-built sugar cane/ Canna da zucchero autocostruita

 Occorrente : colla vinilica, spiedini in legno, cotone per cucito,  forbici sottili
Needed: white glue, wooden skewers, cotton sewing, fine scissors

 Ho bagnato il filo di cotone nella colla vinilica e ricreato i "nodi" della canna avvolgendo 2 cm di filo a varie distanze lungo la canna.
I wet the cotton thread in white glue and recreated the "nodes" of the barrel by wrapping 2 cm of wire at various distances along the barrel.

Ho poi creato il fogliame , usando filo di ferro sottile e carta adesiva

I then created the foliage, using thin wire and adhesive paper

PALMA da DATTERO ( tecnica originale) / Date palm (original technique)

Materiali : una stecca di eulithè, fil di ferro sottile, decori in plastica derivati da una bomboniera, foglie di vite acquistati da Stamperia.com.

Materials: a carton of Eulithe, thin wire, decorated plastic derived from a candy box, grape leaves  purchased from Stamperia.com.

Passo 1 : ho stondato la stecca di eulithè con una lima e inciso sul tronco, così ottenuto, delle linee dal basso in alto con direzione obliqua e ripetuto la stessa operazione con direzione opposta. 

Step 1: I rounded the cue eulithe with a file and engraved on the trunk, thus obtained, the lines from top to bottom with oblique direction and repeated the same with the opposite direction.

Passo 2 : ho quindi dato una prima mano di colore al tronco scolpito.

Step 2: I then gave a first coat of color to the trunk carved.

Passo 3: ho montato i decori ( che saranno i datteri) sui pezzi di fil di ferro.  Colorato i gambi in giallo chiaro e i datteri in arancio. Quindi li ho montati infilando l'estremo del gambo sulla sommità del tronco. 

Step 3: I put the decorations (which will be the dates) on the pieces of wire. Colored stems in light yellow and dates in orange. So I have them mounted tucking the end of the stem on top of the trunk.

Passo 4 : ho tagliuzzato le foglie di vite per dare loro l'aspetto delle foglie di palma e le ho montate a corona sul tronco , aiutandomi con colla cianoacrilica e fil di ferro.

Step 4: I shredded the grape leaves to give them the appearance of palm leaves and I mounted a crown on the trunk, helping me with super glue and wire.
